Have a Happy and Healthy Memorial Day Weekend Celebration

Healthy Kids Challenge wants to help you add healthy and fun behaviors to your Memorial Day Weekend celebration!

Try these ideas:

  • Fill up a thermos with ice cold water to have a healthy, calorie free beverage for the day!
  • Bring along a bowl of refreshing fresh fruit such as grapes, berries, melon or peach slices.
  • Provide a tray of cut raw veggies for healthy “munchies”; such as carrot and green pepper sticks, cucumber and zucchini slices, cauliflower and broccoli florets or cherry tomatoes. Include a dip selection of low-calorie dressings: Ranch, Catalina or Raspberry vinaigrette.
  • Organize a walk or hike during your gathering or bring a Frisbee to toss. Any healthy movement is good!
