Limiting "Screen Time"

Healthy Kids Challenge wants you and your family to examine your home “screen time” use. For many of us, limiting computer, TV and video game time can be a challenge, but it’s well worth it for your health!

Health experts say its best to limit screen time at home to 2 hours a day or less. So how do you and your family do that?

  • Be a good role model for your kids and set times and limits to your computer and TV use.
  • Set times during the day that kids can use the computer, TV or video games and follow through!
  • Reward your kids for limiting their screen time by going with them to the park and being active!

Let us know tips that help get kids away from the TV, computer and video games in order to be more physically active.
