Leave it to a Healthy Kids Challenge dietitian to think of a title like that, right? 🙂 Well, in fact, staying healthy is #1 on most people’s minds right now, so what’s best for preventing illness?
Handwashing. CDC considers handwashing THE single important thing you can do to help prevent the spread of infection and to stay healthy and well. I’ve found an excellent compilation of videos on handwashing that you might be interested in. Watch handwashing videos.
Healthy Eating. Key actions to take every day:
- Eat your veggies – and your fruits. Antioxidants boost your immune system.
- Choose a healthier snack. Excess sugar and fat can decrease your abilitiy to fight infection.
- Drink more water. Keeping hydrated keeps you healthy!
