Remember those leisurely days of summer, of creating games in the back yard or out on the street corner? Whether you’re a parent or a summer program coordinator or youth leader, check out some of these great and simple games for adding more active play and simple fun without alot of resource needs.
Have fun with kids and role model physical activity by teaching kids some of the games you played in elementary school or in your neighborhood. Enjoy classic games like Hide and Seek, Capture the Flag, Monkey in the Middle, or Tag to name a few. Mark a day and time on the calendar titled, “Family Games”, to develop a routine of family active play.
