Video: Linking Healthy Eating with Library Story Time

The librarians at the Kinsley Library shot this video during the 2010 Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week. The story featured was “Up, Down, and Around” and they utilized new tools and skills they learned during a grant workshop presented by Healthy Kids Challenge. See how much fun the kids have acting out the story and then making their soup! Want to see more like this?

Such a cute video and a great way to show how a library can promote healthy eating! Must have been a great workshop by Healthy Kids Challenge. Could my city library get resources?

Of course! You can simply purchase resources like the ones here at http://www.healthykidschallenge.com/catalog or utilize a grant or community partnerships to help in paying for them. There are lots of ways to do similar story times for free or with a few low-cost resources. Let us know if you need any help!
